Devoid…

Time. At one point it stood still. Out from the darkness of space came a silver ribbon. It smoothly moved across space. Space that was void, yet in a distance the most outstanding planet of them all could be seen. Earth. The place that brings everything together, but once it is established within it it is destroyed by nothing but itself.

The ribbon entered the time-frozen Earth and wrapped itself around the cradle of a young child. A child that was only 2 months old. Time continued its usual routine. The ribbon remained with the child despite the fact that it was not visible to humans.

Twenty-five years later and the ribbon was still with the same human. Though the silver was flaking off. It was becoming weak. Weak from being out of its place for too long. That did not matter as it was soon to achieve what it was meant for. It rested on the bed of a hotel room as the, now grown man, came into the room. He fell onto his bed dead tired from the tours. The ribbon flew onto the floor as if blown away by a gash of wind.

Out in the deep dark void of space a star flickered in the Earth’s sight. A short cloaked being appeared in the room in front of the balcony. The face was dark as if void. The being moved forward towards the bed. The ribbon stood up as if like an angry cat. The being had a certain control over the ribbon. The ribbon was forced under the cloak.

As the being reached towards the man, the ribbon wrapped itself tightly around what was inside the cloak. It pulled the mysterious being back out into the void. A void that was known as the prison that brings out the evil from such beings. Evil that would then be molded into something else. Something that would protect humans from mysterious beings. Something like the ribbon.

Just something I’ve written earlier this week.

My story is simple. I googled on how to build a time machine. Learnt some information about Paradoxes and parallel worlds. Travelled to the future. I started a life there. I occasionally send emails back to the past.

See, Google can teach you anything… unlike school :]

Time for another story…

It is time to tell yet another story.

A story that took place centuries ago within a

forest under a particular tree; The Tree of Tranquility.

It all started when a boy ran away from

home and found shelter under this short

wide tree.

Six weeks and three days he spent sleeping

at that place. Though when he woke up, he

wanted to return to his dream.

A quiet and peaceful space within his head

surrounded by nothing but light. He simply

sat and stared, though he was not bored.

The feeling he felt was what kept him happy and

did not want to lose it.

Though the time was up and slowly

returned back home to make peace with

everyone, and remove anger from within his

soul to keep the feeling of the dream within him.

As he changed, everyone around him started to change,

becoming like him and feeling the same feeling.

From that day on he kept returning to that tree

with others by his side, and they all saw and felt the same.

Everyone who went there took someone

else to experience the dream.

Though a time came when the tree was forgotten,

yet the story lives on.

One story that I forgot about…

Sailing away from shore Tom waved to his family on land, which soon became a dot in the distance. Hours, days, and weeks passed by, Tom was completely relaxed and the fresh air was incredible. This is what he had planned for the journey at sea; to get as far from Life as possible and to realize his dream.

Yet one day this peace was interrupted by fear. He had read many books about sailing for days and one common phrase was an ancient superstition,

“If a floating bottle is seen, expect the worst if not death”

As he was thoughtfully staring at the horizon he saw, from the edge of his eye, something in the sea which was not there before. He looked at it and realized it was a wine bottle; fear filled him even though he was not superstitious. Scared as he was, he picked up the bottle and realized that something was trapped inside.

Now curiosity replaced the fear. He could not remove the cork so he broke the bottle on the outside of the boat so as the glass would fall back into the sea. He grabbed the paper before it touched the water and, as he sat down comfortably, he started reading the note.

Dear anyone,

This is an important note that will hopefully bring peace to my family, if I die at sea.

Please go to the address below and tell my family that in my favourite room, inside one of the legs of my favourite chair my Will can be found.

Hopefully everything will be peaceful again, for I have decided to divide my valuables with my family.

Please who ever You are, if You are reading this then my family is not at peace until my Will is found.

Thanks,

George Holton

The name was followed by the address of his family. Tom’s thoughts kept rolling, scrambling and thinking about this letter, did it bring a curse with it or was this simply the reason why he had to be at that place at that time?

Tom got out his map and compass and started the engine once again after weeks, and decided to head back home, to fulfill another man’s dream since he did not have one of his own, he thought.

In the beginning there was Nothing but void. No sound, No sight, No Sense of anything. Can You imagine the feeling of Nothingness?

Until the spark came along. Out of nothing something was created; a flame in the middle of the void. What was its function in this void? It suddenly crackled spitting out a red dragonfly. The dragonfly zoomed across the space but could not find a place.

The flame crackled once more spitting out a Bright White Cat. The cat walked through the space but did not find a place. She rested in the void and the Dragonfly rested on her head.

The flame crackled for the third time spitting out a Young Handsome Man. The man walked through the space but did not find a place. He rested while patting the cat on his lap and looking at the dragonfly zoom around them.

If time existed in this void, one would say Days passed until the Man tried to close his hand around the flame out of Boredom. The flame became hotter and bigger, the man put his hands down and part of the flame surrounded him, the cat, and the dragonfly. The other half of the flame exploded creating many different rocks and forms of Light. Yet The Man, the Cat, and the Dragonfly were unharmed. The fire swallowed them away from that space and spat them out once again in a Place; Earth.

The Cat found others like her, and so did the dragonfly. Though the Man had to walk miles and miles, with a feeling he did not have in the void; Hunger.

He found a tree with red items hanging from it. It was so Beautiful that he pulled it off and took a bite from it, he felt it satisfied a part of his hunger, though that was not the only thing it gave him; he was given knowledge.

He decided to go back and found the Cat and Dragonfly still together. He found a cave and lived Peacefully with the Cats and Dragonflies.

The Pebble…

It was night and the streets were dead. The silence was inspirational. A young man walked along this road alone, wondering what he should do and where he should go.

Flashbacks were coming to him from his last conversation with his Master, whom had told him he must leave the clan and start a new life elsewhere. Martom did not understand why and thought, many times, that he should return back as this might be a test. Though he kept on walking forward to honour his Master’s choice.

Days turned into months and still no sign of a werewolf clan that he might join or make friends with. Until the night came when he found The Pebble. The event goes like this.

He was traveling across a beach and saw a family with two children trying to bounce some pebbles across the sea. He was at a distance from the family and decided to pick up a pebble and try it himself. To his surprise the Pebble bounced out until he could not see it any longer. To his even greater surprise the Pebble came back to him like somebody was rewinding it, but instead it stopped at his feet.

He continued traveling for another day along with the Pebble. Soon he met a clan and became friends. He showed the mysterious Pebble to the Master of the clan hoping for an explanation. The Master immediately recognized it and told Martom that the Pebble belonged to that clanas their emblem but had lost it many years ago when a vampire had stolen it. It was said the Pebble belonged to the moon.

Martom was allowed to join the new clan and start a new life, just as his old Master wanted for him.
